Introducing maintenance-free between-the-glass blinds!
Glenny Glass now has the ability to insulate internal blind I.G. units. We have several versions to fit all of your Residential and Commercial needs. Externally applied magnets operate the blinds, eliminating the need to drill holes into glass.
Internal Blinds are very popular because they never need to be cleaned. Along with minimal upkeep, they are protected from bending, creasing, or breaking by adults, children, or pets! Our blinds are great for patio doors because they do not swing in your way when sliding the doors. We offer a 5 year warranty on our custom blind units. The SL20A incorporates a rugged rotary rare earth magnet assembly. The patented assembly is a magnetically coupled, gear driven tilt mechanism to operate the blinds. The blind can be operated with an externally mounted turn-knob or with a blind wand. Motorization options are also available.
Slats are made of aluminum alloy 6010-T8, 12.5mm (.500") x .008" and are painted with a low emissivity paint with a polyester ultraviolet high resistant finish. A 3⁄4" air gap is needed for the blind to operate.
The SL20C incorporates the same rare earth magnet assembly as the SL20A. The blind is operated using a cord loop and loop tensioner system. The cord loop rotates the external magnet, which drives an internal magnet with which it is coupled. Moving the cord loop down on the right or left outer magnet assembly will respectively lower or raise the blind. Both the SL20A and SL20C blinds are designed specifically for schools, hospitals, office partitions and other commercial applications. Motorization options are also available.
The SL20C model uses an integral cord loop to raise or lower the blind slats. Easy accessibility to the cord loop ensures adjustment of the blinds. Optimum slat positioning can be achieved by making small adjustments when pulling to the right or left on the cord. The force to lift the blind is 36 Newtons maximum. To tilt, it is less than 10 Newtons.
A magnetically coupled lift & tilt aluminum mini-blind for installation in sealed insulated glass packages. The blind is controlled by two externally mounted magnet assemblies. Moving the outer tilt operator to the left or right will cause the blind slats to rotate. Moving the outer lift operator down will cause the blind to raise and moving it up will cause the blind to lower.
The SSLT Lift & Tilt shades require a .750" internal glass airspace. Slats are made of aluminum alloy 6010-T8, 12.5mm (.500") x .008" and are painted with a polyester ultraviolet high resistant finish. For blind operation, maintain a .750" air gap.
The topslide internal glass blind system is operated by a top-mounted external magnet which controls the blind by a moveable finger-slide device. When the slide device moves to the left or the right, it causes the blind slats to tilt. The innovative and unique design of the finger slide device provides both privacy and light control.
The 5⁄8" Topslide Blind requires a .625" internal glass airspace. The slats are made of aluminum alloy 6010-T8, 12.5mm (.500") x .008" and are painted with a polyester ultraviolet high resistant finish. A 5⁄8" air gap is required for blind operation.
The 3⁄4" Topslide Blind requires a .750" internal glass airspace. The slats are made of aluminum alloy 6010-T8, 15mm (.600") x .006" and are painted with a low emissive paint with a polyester ultraviolet high resistant finish. A 3⁄4" air gap is required for blind operation.
The Glenny Glass Company Insulated Glass with Between the Glass Blinds are warranted to be free of defects in materials or workmanship for a period of five years from the date of shipment from The Glenny Glass Company. The Glenny Glass Company will repair or replace components at its sole option. Repaired or remainder of the original five year period.
Abuse, misuse, modification, improper installation or improper repairs voids this warranty. Exposure to temperature of 220°F or greater voids w arranty. Installing magnetic operator to the exterior voids warranty. Evidence of failure is the malfunction of blind, obstruction of vision by dust, moisture, or film on interior surfaces of glass.Full Warranty
